 Welcome to M & M Maples. Here you will find an unrelenting display of passion for the Maple. Of course it is foolish to believe that a passion for one plant could free us from the love of many, but we choose to devote our current efforts toward creating a collection of maples that inspires us and represents the best that Maples have to offer.
Our collection, while primarily Japanese Maples at this time, is rapidly growing to encompass maples from all over the world. We pride ourselves on finding the new and unusual, but at the same time, growing and knowing the proven maples- those that have and will withstand the test of time and have been selected over generations for qualities that are unsurpassed.
M & M Maples is a private collection of plants, mostly container grown at this time, that resides in southern Oregon. Here in the hot dry Rogue Valley we value our mild winters and hesitantly await the heat of summer. It is a testament to the adaptability and resilience of maples to grow them here. It is not so much a matter of growing the maple, as it will live here, it is protecting it form summer stress and asking it to look good. For those that try to grow maples in hot dry climates, we share your challenges.
We have created this site because we love maples. It is that simple. We hope that you will find it interesting and useful and visit us often. Being that maples are a hobby, we may not maintain the site as well as it deserves, but we will continue to add to it. Our specimen list is now current and we will be adding photos over the winter. Now that winter is nearly upon us, may you enjoy time spent planning for spring.
